Setting up Pay now and DebiCheck

Updated 13 Oct 2026

CommunityDesk takes online levy payments through Netcash. Each client connects its own Netcash account, so owners’ money goes from Netcash straight into your bank account. CommunityDesk never holds levy money.

Only the organization owner can change payment settings.

Pay now

Owners see a Pay now button on My Account in the owner portal. They pay on Netcash’s secure page by card, Instant EFT, Scan to Pay or bank EFT, and the payment is booked to their unit automatically once Netcash confirms it.

  1. Open a Netcash account and ask Netcash to activate Pay Now. Ask your Netcash advisor to raise the card limit to levy-sized amounts (a new Pay Now service often starts at a low limit).
  2. In Netcash, go to Account Profile → NetConnector → Pay Now and copy the Pay Now service key.
  3. In CommunityDesk, go to Settings → Payments and choose Connect Netcash. Choose All schemes or one scheme, paste the key, keep Test mode on and turn on Pay now for owners.
  4. Copy the four addresses CommunityDesk shows (Notify, Accept, Decline and Redirect) into your Netcash Pay Now profile.
  5. Under Settings → Levies, choose whether the scheme absorbs Netcash’s fee or adds a convenience fee for owners.
  6. Make a test payment from the owner portal with Netcash’s test cards. Check it under Recent online payments, then switch Test mode off in both Netcash and CommunityDesk.
Your keys are stored encrypted and never shown again, only their last four characters.

Debit orders (DebiCheck)

With DebiCheck, an owner sets up a debit order in the portal and approves it in their own banking app. Only what they owe is collected, never more than the limit they chose, and nothing if they’ve already paid. They can cancel at any time.

  1. Ask Netcash to activate debit orders with DebiCheck and set up a monthly DebiCheck mandate template. Netcash gives you a template ID.
  2. In Netcash, copy the Debit order service key (Account Profile → NetConnector).
  3. In Settings → Payments, choose Edit, paste the debit order key and template ID, and turn on debit orders for owners.
  4. Copy the Debit order postback URL into Netcash’s debit order / DebiCheck postback settings.

Follow your debit orders under Finance → Levies → Debit orders: every mandate, upcoming collections, and results (collected or unpaid, with the reason). By default, owners in arrears are invited to set one up after two missed months, and you can invite any owner from the Arrears page.

A debit order always needs the owner’s own consent. CommunityDesk never sets one up for them.
